Ayia Napa Monastery
In the middle of the village of Ayia Napa, surrounded by a wall, stands this beautiful medieval monastery which is dedicated to 'Our Lady of the Forests'. The guest house near the church belongs to the World Council of Churches and there's a 16th century church partly underground and cut into the rock.

As the name suggests, the museum is based on the sea and the marine heritage of Cyprus from prehistoric times to the present. There's a replica of a 4th century BC Greek trading vessel, the original of which was found off the coast of Keryneia.


Cape Greko National Park
A beautiful park with 36 different types of orchid species, crocuses and irises. A temple dedicated to Aphrodite once existed here and a nature trail links the area to the Aphrodite Cultural Route.


Paralimni
An unusual vaulted church dedicated to the Virgin Mary and decorated with unusual 18th century procelain plates. Sections of the church date back to the 13th century and house a small ecclesiastical museum. After the occupation of Famagusta, by Turkish troups in 1974, the small town of Paralimni became the temporary administrative centre of the district.
