Cyprus Airports are based in Larnaca and Paphos and there are many cheap flights from the UK and Europe with companies such as Easy Jet and Travel Republic.

Larnaca Airport

Larnaca airport has recently undergone a major facelift and is Cyprus's main international airport.

It originally opened in February 1975 after Nicosia airport (main airport of the island) was forced to close due to the invasion of Cyprus by Turkey on 20 July 1974.

Larnaca airport is only 3 miles from Larnaca town so very easy to access either by bus or taxi. It takes approximately ten minutes to drive from the airport to the center of town so great if you are staying in one of the local hotels or apartments in Larnaca.

The airport is used as a hub by airlines such as Middle Eastern Airways (MEA) with flying time from Larnaca to Beirut only 20 minutes.

The airport is located in the south east corner of the island not far from the popular holiday resorts of Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Protaras.

Parking for Larnaca Airport is only 3 minutes away from the passenger terminal and only 1 kilometer from the new Larnaca airport - Park2Fly is located next to the Larnaca wholesale market just off the Larnaca airport motorway.

Cyprus Airports - Paphos Airport

Paphos airport is located on the west coast of the island just 9 miles east of Pafos town so very easy to access by bus or taxi. If you prefer to drive you can order a car online or hire a car at one of the car hire desks within the airport terminal. It's normally cheaper to hire a car online as discount prices are available from companies such as Easy Jet.

Paphos has a large number of beautiful villas and hotels so the airport is very convenient for many people who either live or visit Paphos. The airport is considerably smaller than Larnaca airport but it's location makes it very popular.

Cyprus Airport Transfers

When you arrive at Larnaca Airport or Pafos Airport you can either arrange to be met by a transfer taxi or mini bus or take the local bus or hire a taxi at the airport.

Limassol Airport Express

If you're staying in Limassol the Limassol Urban Bus Company airport express costs €8 per person (at the time of writing) one way, including VAT and luggage.

The airport express is a daily shuttle available with frequent routes including weekends & holidays (luggage travels free of charge) and is fully air-conditioned with extra space for baggage.

Pick up and drop-off point is at Christofi Ergatoudi Street in front of the Agios Georgios Havouzas church and at the entrance of the industrial area of Agios Athanasios on Iapetou Street. The drop-off is at the airport in a specially designated area. Airport Shuttle Bus
