The law firm Mavronicolas & Co LLC was established in 1959 by Mr. John D. Mavronicolas and has through the years become one of Cyprus prominent law firms specializing mostly in litigation all over Cyprus.

As from 1st January 2009 the firm operates as a legal limited liability Company under the name Mavronicolas & Co LLC.

The firm maintains its practice base in Nicosia and is associated with local firms in all towns of Cyprus. The firm also has contact with firms around the world and can refer clients to other jurisdictions if necessary.

Fees

Fees are not based on a percentage of the sale price. They are based on the recommended fees by the Cyprus Bar Association.

However, fees for drafting property sale agreements vary, according to the price of the property involved (the fees are calculated based on a formula of the Bar Association and the price of the property is used to calculate them).

Cyprus lawyer Mr. John D. Mavronicolas was born in Paphos, Cyprus and studied law in England. In 1959 he became a Barrister at Law, at Gray’s Inn, London. He is fluent in Greek and English.

He is the founder of the firm, was called to the Cyprus Bar Association in 1959 and had been practicing advocacy until 2002 when he retired and is now acting as the Consultant of the firm. Mr. Mavronicolas specializes in Property Law, Wills and Succession, General Civil Law, and Family Law.

Christina Mavronicola

Christina Mavronicola was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied law initially at Leicester University for her LLB and in 1992 became a Barrister at Law, at Gray's Inn, London. She was called to the Cyprus Bar Association in 1992 and has been practicing advocacy for the past 17 years. She is fluent in Greek and English.

Mrs. Mavronicola has expertise and can offer advice in a very wide range of areas of law but specializes mostly on Corporate Law, Commercial & Business Law and Formation and use of Cyprus Companies and Trusts.

Nandia Savvides - Zannetou

Nandia Savvides - Zannetou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied Law at University College, London for her LLB and in 1997 she was granted a Masters' Degree in Shipping Trade & Finance by City University Business School.

Mrs. Savvides was called to the Cyprus Bar Association in 1997 and specialises in Shipping Law and the Registration of Shipping Companies and ship. She is fluent in Greek and English and also speaks French and Italian.

Maria Andreou

Maria Andreou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied Law at the University of Exeter for her LLB and was called to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2002.
