The festival celebrates the history of wine production in Cyprus with traditional music, dancing and of course lots of food and wine. Stalls and taverna-style eateries overflow with traditional Cypriot food and there are copious amounts of FREE wine throughout the festival!
On entering the festival from the south-side you are greeted with fountains and music and the huge statue of the famous 'Vraka Man' in traditional dress welcoming all to the festival.

A highlight of the year is the Pafos Aphrodite Festival of international opera which is held every year in September under the stars at Pafos harbor. Venue: The Medieval Pafos Castle, Cyprus - at 20.00 hours. For each performance there are 2,500 seats.

Kypria Festival 3 - 22 September 2010
This cultural event has grown over the years and is an important festival in Cyprus. The event is organized by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture and this year includes a performance of the famous 'Barber of Seville' by the Moscow Helicon Opera.

Cyprus Awakening - September 18 - 19 September 2010
Outdoor festival aimed at uniting a multi cultural island through a mixture of music and performing acts. The festival is dedicated to raising funds for ALMA, part of the Theotokos Foundation in Cyprus.

Ayia Napa International Festival 24 - 26 Sep 2010
At Ayia Napa Square - Entrance FREE - Time 7.30pm
The square at Ayia Napa is full of music, dancing, fireworks and Cypriot food and family entertainment. This is great fun for children with puppet theatre and local art and crafts exhibitions. The music concerts include Michalis Tzouganakis on 24 September at 21:00 and Michalis Hadjiyiannis on 25 Septmeber at 21:00 plus a dancing show with the Georgian Dance Ensemble Merani on 26 September at 21:30). The popular Limassol International Childrens Festival is held every year in the Municipal Gardens. There's lots of fun for everyone with face painting, trampolines, clowns, songs, dances, concerts, exhibitions, art works, table games and a puppet show. A magical fairytale kingdom was created in the park for children?s story time and thirty five music, art, dancing and theatrical schools will perform on the festival?s main stage.
