The area around Finikoudes Beach is overflowing with typical Cypriot restaurants serving traditional food such as moussaka, keftedes and calamari.

Fast food has been available for years in the form of take-away kebabs etc. but the first real fast food restaurant arrived in Larnaca in 2007!

McDonalds is right on Finikoudes promenade at 30-32 Athinon. It's an excellent location overlooking the beach with chairs and tables on the terrace. Great for you McDonald fans and there's also a twist with a few Greek dishes included!

Should you want to taste the true Cypriot food which includes casseroles and many other mouth-watering delights, try the old town and restaurants on the way to Mackenzie Beach.

If you're vegetarian, there are a variety of dishes to chooses from, plus if you go inland a bit you can eat where the Cypriots do. Much cheaper and very traditional.

There's a lovely terrace where you can enjoy your meal with lovely views of the sea and the scent of flowers in the air. Very romantic and great food and not too expensive.

Very popular with tourists and locals (always a good sign) and traditional Cyprus dishes are always on the menu.

Tava - lamb and beef casserole and Kleftiko (stolen one) which is lamb baked in the oven.
