The 16km seafront stretch of the tourist area has many coves which are great to swim or fish from.
The area has many lovely apartment blocks set alongside the seafront and also many luxury four and five star hotels which do have private beaches.
One of the many excellent Lemesos Beaches is Agios Tychonas Beach which is located in front of the Four Seasons and Mediterranean Hotels.
Ladies's Mile Beach
One of the nearest and most popular family Limassol beaches is Ladie's Mile which is 4kms west of Limassol and about a ten minute drive from the center of town. The sea is shallow and safe so perfect for children. There are a few tavernas but there's no shade at all, so don't forget your hat or parasol and sun cream!
Kourium Beach
About 18 - 20 kms west of Lemesos is the beautiful beach of Kourium. The backdrop is truly stunning... cliffs and the amazing Greco-Roman Amphitheatre of Kourium. The sea around here can at times be a bit wild so take care. It's great for sailing and handgliding and the sandy beach is perfect for relaxing or having fun on. If you're coming by bus take the No 91 from Lemesos.
Governor's Beach
This beach is 30km east of Lemesos and is also very popular because it has a lovely sandy beach with shallow waters. Watersports include snorkling around the rocks, boating and fishing off the rocks. The beach is edged with restaurants and trees so perfect for having lunch or dinner or a drink in the shade whilst taking in the fantastic scenery.
Pissouri Beach & Village
Another great beach where you can enjoy a swim and then a drink or tasty meal at one of the seafront tavernas. Watersports include scuba diving with a small school offering lessons in diving and scuba diving.
