Paphos Beaches on the west-coast of Cyprus

Aphrodites Rock, Petra Tou Romiou

Aphrodite's Beach Paphos

This is the most famous beach in Paphos is at Petra tou Romiou which is the birthplace of Aphrodite.

The beach is 25km east of Paphos

and people come from all over the world to visit the place where Aphrodite Greek Goddess of love and beauty emerged from the sea.

This is a very popular place for a Cyprus wedding and then followed by a romantic honeymoon in Cyprus.

Agios Georgos Beach

A sandy and rocky beach with a lovely little harbor which is overlooked by a beautiful Byzantine church and one of the best fish restaurants in town. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire.

Pharos (Lighthouse) Beach

Easy to access as there's a bus stop just outside the beach. There's also a bar and you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas.

Coral Bay

Coral Bay beach is 10km outside of Pafos and extremely popular with visitors to the island.

It's a great place to visit and just a short bus drive away from Paphos.

The horseshoe bay has lovely white sand and shallow waters so excellent for all the family.

Lara Beach

Some of the most beautiful and secluded Paphos beaches are on the west-coast of Cyprus in Latchi and Polis on the edge of the Akamas Peninsula.

A must to visit is Lara Bay (known as Lara Beach and Turtle Beach) as this is where the endangered loggerhead and green turtles lay their eggs.

The area is very beautiful with a very rugged landscape so it's advisable to use a 4x4 vehicle.

Enjoy a 4WD Jeep Safari to the rugged Akamas Peninsula. On your way visit the legendary Baths of Aphrodite and Lara Bay widely known as the breeding ground of the Greenback Turtle (endangered turtles).

Then onto the northwest peninsula, to the coastal beauty of Chrysochou Bay. Rest a while and bathe in the tranquil waters.
