PISSOURI BAY
Pissouri Bay is about 3km away from the inland Pissouri Village.
The location of this lovely bay is 30km to the west of Limassol town centre and the same distance from Paphos.
As well as being famous as a wine growing area it's also famous for it's close proximity to Aphrodite's birth place which is just a few kilometers to the west. It's also not far away from the lovely Aphrodite Hills resort which has a magnificent 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, Spa and in the Village Square there are a variety of shops, restaurants and a wedding chapel.
This lovely traditional Cyprus hill-side village has stunning
views of the coast and Troodos
Mountains.
There's a lovely pedestrianized village square with a
church, fountain, shops and a wide variety of tavernas and bars where you can
enjoy the locally grown wines.
The newly built amphitheater
provides everyone with excellent entertainment during the summer months and
the nearby Bay has retained its Cypriot charm.
There are
tavernas, a few shops and a lovely beach. During the months of June and
August the beach is famous for the Green and Loggerhead turtles which come
ashore to lay their eggs.
