The magical island of Cyprus is situated at the eastern end of the Mediterranean sea at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

It's a very modern European country with a turbulent history which the many buildings and monuments on the island so vividly reflect.

The island is full of the myths and legends of Aphrodite Greek goddess of love who rose from the white foam of the sea at Paphos on the west-coast.

There are miles of stunning beaches and the island is blessed with warm winters and hot summers, so great for holidays. It's also a popular destination for romantic getaways and weddings and honeymoons.

Cyprus Holidays
There are many fantastic attractions and sports such as swimming, sailing, scuba diving and golf. The sandy beaches and sparkling Mediterranean sea are edged with stunning hotels and villas making this the perfect location for your Mediterranean vacation in the sun.

There's an abundance of fresh food and traditional drinks and rustic little villages give the feeling of stepping back in time. Yet, just a few miles away are the modern cities of Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos and Larnaca.

The island is full of pine forests and mountain ranges and in the month of March you can often ski on the snow tipped Troodos Mountains and then swim in the sea at Paphos. The Akamas Peninsula and National Park are great for mountain walks, cycling and you can swim and sunbathe on isolated beaches in Aphrodite territory.

If you want a buzzing nightlife, the internationally acclaimed resort of Ayia Napa is the place to visit. Some of the best sandy beaches on the island are here and also an amazing amount of clubs, bars and restaurants.

Last but not least, the people are very friendly and hospitable and will make your holiday one you'll never forget. Most Cypriots are bi-lingual (English and Greek are spoken in the cities and towns), so you'll have no language problems. However, should you venture to the rustic little villages don't forget your Greek phrase book.
